Day 2: The Walking Choir

Today we walked and walked, and then we walked some more. It was cold out, but we walked anyway.

We started with the Freedom trail - we saw an amazing old cemetery (the second oldest in the country!), we saw statues of John Hancock, Paul Revere, and lots of other important people from history, and we shared research we had done about different places along the Freedom Trail.

We got to go to the meeting hall at Faneuil Hall!

Then we sang a concert outside at Quincy Market. Lots of people stopped to listen, especially when we sang Asimbonanga.

After the concert, we had a break for lunch. Some of us walked to Mike's pastry shop and waited in a huge line for amazing canolli. After lunch we saw Paul Revere's House and the Old North Church. It was really cool to be in the building that was part of communicating Paul Revere's message, and the church had a beautiful organ. The door to the steeple where they flashed lights to say that the British were coming by sea was right behind the organ! The church also had really interesting things called box pews, where you had your own private pew that closed you off from the rest of the congregation.

After the church, we went to a show at Improv Asylum that was really hilarious and we did not want to leave. We begged Levi to let us go back for the midnight show, but she thinks it's too late.

After the show we rocked out at the Hard Rock cafe where the food was amazing.

Now we're on our way back to the hotel for game night, and we'd like to preemptively ask our parents and teachers to let us stay one extra day. We're having a blast.
