Day 3 - Amherst College (and HOME)

We were all sad to leave Boston today. We said goodbye to our tour manager, Papa John, and headed West to Amherst, MA. We started our visit with a tour of Amherst College. We climbed lots (too many?) of hills, saw a beautiful collection of rocks and bones at their museum, and looked out at the mountains.

Then we headed over to meet the Amherst College Concert Choir, and their director, Mallorie Chernin. We met our pen pals and chatted over pizza, then we headed to their choir rehearsal room for a workshop on our song Alleluia.

Mallorie worked with us to improve how we sing it, and we got to sing it with her choir as well. It was really fun to hear all of those voices at once, and it was really impressive that they were reading the piece for the first time.

Finally, we went to their performance hall and we shared some songs with them, then they sang for us as well. We had some cookies and hung out a little more before we said goodbye. We did a little more souvenir shopping, then we got on the bus to head home.

We got back to school by 7:50pm, which means we had plenty of time to go home and get some rest so we can be at school tomorrow at 7:50am. This sentence added by Levi.
